If you are certified CNA with an active license from New Jersey and want to become a CHHA, then take the conversion class. The conversion course focuses on personal care services in the home setting, cultural diversity, and foundations for a safe client environment, nutrition, housekeeping, concepts of home care and caring for the aged ill client. In addition, the CNA will learn how to administer care to hospice clients and their families in their home. As a result of successfully passing this class, you will be licensed as a CHHA by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
Prerequisite Students should have an Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) licensure from New Jersey at the time of registration. Bring the original current CNA certification to the first day of class. No copies will be accepted.
Tuition includes: Course materials and skills review and testing. Application and fees ($65-$80) for the NJ Board of Nursing CHHA Certification are the responsibility of the student.
