Description

Electricity III is the third year of a four-year training program in preparation for the state license exam. This is a theory class. Books, supplies and personal safety equipment are not included. Prerequisite: Electricity II. Certificates will not be issued for attendance less than 144 hrs.

Topics covered: wiring devices, load calculations branch circuits, motor controls, conductor selection & calculations, overcurrent protection, distribution equipment, raceway, box & fitting fill requirements, distribution, system transformers, lamps, ballasts, & components, motor calculations, motor maintenance- part one, and electricity in HVAC systems.
